An enfleurage is an artisanal practice involving a base fat substance, such as coconut oil, and fragrant flowers which are set atop the fat to infuse it with their aroma. This process is a gentle way to extract the scent of a flower, as well as being one of the best ways to capture delicate flower fragrances and their complex array of aromatics. Since there is no “processing” involved besides the picking of the flowers, this is one of the purest forms of plant perfumery methods there is. This star Jasmine enfleurage was “recharged” 17 times, which means 17 cups of fresh Jasmine flowers breathed their aromatic essences into the coconut oil over several weeks, rendering an oil endowed with the scent & energetic properties of Jasmine. Coconut oil captures the true essence of jasmine as if you were lathering yourself with the precious flower herself, all the while coconut as a base oil gives to the skin its’ gifts of moisturizing and regenerative qualities. This may be used as a body oil perfume, a massage oil, an aromatic hair mask, or to soften shaved areas, anywhere on the body. This is perfect for those sensitive to aromatics, but love the smell of fresh flowers. It is gentle enough to use on young or sensitive skin and to wear often. Made in love with all organic ingredients: Virgin Coconut oil, fresh Star Jasmine flowers. Contained in a 4 oz glass jar. Coconut oil is the base of this enfleurage, it may be liquid at room temperature. To solidify, simply place it in the fridge, or store it there to keep it solid.
